LESSON TEN
The Power of the Blood of GOD, Part 2
Right before Jesus died on the cross, He said “It is finished:”
“When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” -John 19:30
What was finished? He had taken on all the sins of everyone in the world, including those then alive, and those not yet born, including you and I, and if Christ tarries in his second coming, further generations beyond us, as well.
Look up John 3:16 in the NRSVue, and then fill in the blanks, below:
“For God so _______________ the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who ________________________ in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” -John 3:16
For the three hours right before His death, Christ took on the sins of all people. He died as a sacrifice, paying for ALL of our sins. Your sins are already paid for, right now, you just need to align your resonance with His, and then it will cancel out all of your past, present, and future sin resonance. More on that in a few moments…
For three hours, right before Jesus died, it became
very dark. The darkness happened during
the brightest time of the day. It
started at noon, and lasted until three in the afternoon. At 3pm, Jesus then shouted “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Why did He shout that, and why was it dark? Let's see...
“When it was noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. At three o’clock Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” When some of the bystanders heard it, they said, “Listen, he is calling for Elijah.” And someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.” Then Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. Now when the centurion who stood facing him saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!” -Mark 15:33-39
It was dark for those three hours, because that’s when ALL sin was being imputed upon Him. Jesus is the light of the world, but He can’t be light, if there is sin on him:
Look up John 3:19 in the NRSVue, and then fill in the blanks, below:
“And this is the judgment, that the _______________ has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were ____________.” -John 3:19
Look up John 8:12 in the NRSVue, and then fill in the blanks, below:
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the _______________ of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of ____________.” -John 8:12
Look up John 12:46 in the NRSVue, and then fill in the blanks, below:
“I have come as light into the world, so that everyone who ___________________ in me should not __________________ in the darkness.” -John 12:46
Sin is like a fungus. It thrives in the dark. Just as light can cleanse away certain bacteria and germs, sin cannot thrive in the light. Jesus is the light of the world, but during those three hours of darkness, He took on ALL the sins of the whole world, as if He did them, and we didn’t. He then died on the cross to pay for those sins, for us. During the dark hours, when Jesus took on all sin, it was like the sin sacrifices of animals in the Old Testament, when a hand was laid on the head of the animal before slaughter, symbolizing the transference of sin onto the animal. It designated why that animal was being sacrificed, and for who’s sins.
The Light was extinguished when Jesus took on the sins, because He took them on, as if He did them Himself. Since Jesus is God, the resonant vibrations of all sins were lined up with the opposite signal that His blood put out, so that anyone who applies the blood of the Lamb upon their hearts will be Passed Over, and saved by the Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ.
God the Father forsook Jesus the Son during those dark hours, because sin cannot be in the presence of God. He is Spirit, and He is all good. For the first and only time ever, the Son of God, and God the Father, were separated, but only until Jesus paid it all. Then they reunited, along with the Holy Spirit.
After the three hours
of darkness, Jesus cried out, and then died.
“When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” -John 19:30
