NOTE: I originally wrote this article in 2020 *Unless otherwise noted, all scriptures are from the Young’s Literal Translation of the Bible There is a component missing from a good amount of Bible translations. This component helps to explain and pull so many things together, but because of many translations not being literal enough, or mistranslating a few simple words, this component goes unnoticed. In these last days, the book of Daniel tells us: “And thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.'” -Daniel 12:4 Many most certainly are now going to and fro, and our being in the feet of the prophetic statue (Dan. 2) has been opening and revealing the prophecies of the book of Daniel. We also see that “knowledge is multiplied.” More and more people are waking up, and they are digging in the scriptures and finding so many nuggets of information that very few churches ever touch upon. This article is going to delve into one such topic. Who Were the Nephilim? The first instance of the Nephilim in the Bible is in Genesis 6:4: “The fallen ones were in the earth in those days, and even afterwards when sons of God come in unto daughters of men, and they have borne to them -- they [are] the heroes, who, from of old, [are] the men of name.” “Fallen ones” above is the Hebrew word “nephiyl,” which is translated as “fallen ones” in the above YLT (Young’s Literal Translation), or giants in the KJV: “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” –Genesis 6:4 KJV It is transliterated as Nephilim in many other versions, such as the American Standard Version: “The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.” –Genesis 6:4 ASV The Hebrew nephiyl means tyrant, giant, or fallen one. These Nephilim were the offspring of the ungodly union of fallen angels (demons) and human women. The half human, half demon offspring is referred to under many names, but one that we hear about a lot in certain circles today is the Nephilim. The Nephilim weren’t necessarily always giants, thus why they can also be called fallen ones, rather than giant. I believe they are usually giants, and are also fallen ones, because: 1) Their fathers were fallen angels Nephilim is only in the Scriptures three times. It’s in the passage we just looked at, and then it appears two more times, in the below: “And the men who have gone up with him said, `We are not able to go up against the people, for it [is] stronger than we;' and they bring out an evil account of the land which they have spied unto the sons of Israel, saying, `The land into which we passed over to spy it, is a land eating up its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in its midst [are] men of stature; and there we saw the Nephilim, sons of Anak, of the Nephilim; and we are in our own eyes as grasshoppers; and so we were in their eyes.’” -Numbers 13:31-33 In the above passage of Scripture, we see that: 1) The Nephilim were stronger than the Israelite warrior men. We see that at least some (probably most) of the Nephilim were indeed giants. We see that there were different family lines of Nephilim that were known under their family line name, such as the sons of Anak, who are also known in the Scriptures as the Anakim. The sons of Anak/Anakim are possibly somewhat loosely related to the Sumerian word ‘Anunnuki’ etymologically. The Sumerian word Anunnuki means “offspring of An.” The Hebrew Anak means “neck,” and goes with the Arabic parallel word, meaning “length of neck.” The possible etymological relation comes in from the fact that the Sumerian Anunnuki are the same fallen ones as the Hebrew Nephilim, and the sons of Anak were a prevalent race of Nephilim. There were different types of Nephilim in the Bible, and these different types took on traits from their specific family lines. The sons of Anak seemed to be giants, with long necks. We see in ancient cultures where it was valued to have long necks, and people would use neck rings to try to elongate their necks. While this custom is still being done today in some cultures, the original reason has been lost. It likely had to do with the Nephilim tribe Anakim. These mighty giants had long necks, so if a person would have a long neck, they could be considered partly divine, or at least high in society and importance. The Nephilim are the original GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms). They also ate the first GMO food: “and they come in unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down thence a branch and one cluster of grapes, and they bear it on a staff by two, also [some] of the pomegranates, and of the figs.” -Numbers 13:23 Notice that in the Nephilim land, where they cultivated food, that it took two of the Israelite warrior men to carry just one cluster of grapes. These grapes had to be HUGE, and that would make sense, as the giants would need a lot of sustenance to maintain their large stature. The Anakim Since we have looked at all three instances of Nephilim in the Bible, to take our study further, we’ll need to start by branching off into one of the Nephilim family lines a bit. We read about the family line of the sons of Anak/the Anakim being Nephilim, so let’s look at an interesting spot in Scriptures that mention the Anakim: “`The Emim formerly have dwelt in it, a people great, and numerous, and tall, as the Anakim; Rephaim they are reckoned, they also, as the Anakim; and the Moabites call them Emim. And in Seir have the Horim dwelt formerly; and the sons of Esau dispossess them, and destroy them from before them, and dwell in their stead, as Israel hath done to the land of his possession, which Jehovah hath given to them;“ -Deuteronomy 2:10-12 There is so much info in the above few verses. Let’s break some of this down: 1) Emim is a name of another line of giants, and they are reported as “tall, as the Anakim.” We have been introduced to the word “Rephaim.” We know from Numbers 13:33 that the Anakim are giants, and known as Nephilim, and now we see that the giants, including the Anakim are Rephaim. Here we see that as we are getting further away from the flood, the Nephilim didn't have as much direct demon in them, as now we have further generations of them occurring, so the “fallen ones” didn't as directly relate as much anymore, so the Nephilim began to be known as the Rephaim. The GMO human/demon line continued through the Rephaim – and the various family lines such as the sons of Anak, or of being known under different names in different localities, such as being known as the Emim or Horim. The Rephaim The word Rephaim appears in the YLT Bible 25 times. The Hebrew word underlying this transliteration is “rapha.” You’ll see rapha/Rephaim in the Hebrew as a proper gentilic noun, or as a masculine plural noun. A proper gentilic noun is a noun that describes the ethnic identity of a person or group of people. A masculine plural noun can refer to men, or things corresponding to males, but that depends on context. For example, the Hebrew word for sin is feminine, but men sin too, not just females. In the Hebrew, we seem to see a pattern. We see the spirit of God and man being a feminine noun, but the Hebrew for familiar spirit (evil spirit) is a masculine noun, and the Hebrew word for demon is also a masculine noun. Now it makes sense that Rephaim, in the sense of their spirits, is a masculine plural noun. Dead Rephaim are evil, and the evil demon or familiar spirits seem to be a masculine noun, while the Holy Spirit and the spirit of man is a feminine noun. Rephaim as a proper gentilic noun refers to when they were alive. Rephaim as a masculine plural noun refers to their spirits in Hades/Sheol. Since there are two major Rephaim categories in the Bible, we will look at every Scriptural mention of both, starting with the Rephaim as a proper gentilic noun – the Rephaim that were living. Living Rephaim We already looked at Rephaim in Deuteronomy 2:11, where we saw that the giants, Anakim, and Nephilim are also Rephaim, and that Rephaim seemed to be the name that replaced the term Nephilim as the years went by. Now we shall look at all other instances of living Rephaim in the Bible. “And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who [are] with him, and they smite the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim, and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-Paran, which [is] by the wilderness; and they turn back and come in unto En-Mishpat, which [is] Kadesh, and smite the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.” -Genesis 14:5-7 Here we see various different names for Rephaim peoples, according to family lines or geographical location. Before we get into that, I’d like to stop and point out the Mystery Babylon and Rephaim connection… The above Scripture says “the Rephaim in Ashteroth Kamaim.” Ashteroth Kamaim was a city, and the name of the city meant “Ashtoreth of the two horns or peaks.” Horns represent power or leadership. For example, biblical prophecy likens antichrist to a horn. Peaks represent kingdoms, for example, biblical prophecy refers to the seven hills as kingdoms. Ashtoreth/Ashtoroth is closely tied with the Rephaim, as they both are major components of the Mystery Babylonian religion which is still massively prevalent, today. In fact, most Christians practice components of Mystery Babylon in their churches and in their own homes, and they think it's Christian. The Hebrew word for Ashtoreth means “star.” She is the female deity of Mystery Babylon, with Baal (known as Baal and several other names in the Bible) being the male deity. Ashtoreth worship involved many things that are thought to be “Christian,” but never were, such as burning incense to god(s), and the transubstantiation eucharist. Ashtoreth, meaning star, was also known as “the queen of the heavens.” Notice worship of her is similar to how some churches claim to worship Christ: “The sons are gathering wood, And the fathers are causing the fire to burn, And the women are kneading dough, To make cakes to the queen of the heavens, And to pour out libations to other gods, So as to provoke Me to anger.” -Jeremiah 7:18 “and when we are making perfume to the queen of the heavens, and pouring out to her libations -- without our husbands have we made for her cakes to idolize her, and to pour out to her libations?'” -Jeremiah 44:19 “Thus spake Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, saying: Ye and your wives both speak with your mouth, and with your hands have fulfilled, saying: We certainly execute our vows that we have vowed, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, ye do certainly establish your vows, and certainly execute your vows.” -Jeremiah 44:25 According to CatholicTradition.org: "The Holy Eucharist is the Bread that comes from our Heavenly Mother. It is Bread produced by Mary from the flour of Her immaculate flesh, kneaded into dough with her virginal milk. St. Augustine wrote, 'Jesus took His Flesh from the flesh of Mary.' We know, too, that united to the Divinity in the Eucharist there is Jesus' Body and Blood taken from the body and blood of the Blessed Virgin." “Queen of Heaven” is a term Roman Catholicism has given to the Virgin Mary. Ashtoreth is the same as Astarte and Ishtar. Ishtar is pronounced Easter. Easter is not, and never has been a Christian holiday. Jesus resurrected three days after Passover, not on Easter (except for the rare occasion, anniversary-wise, where the pagan Easter happens to land three days after the Jewish Passover). Easter/Ashtoreth Day was celebrated long before Jesus was even born in the flesh on this earth. It was in celebration of Ashtoreth’s dead husband/son coming back to life (possibly via her impregnation), corresponding to the spring equinox. It was celebrated via a sunrise service, in which young women were raped on the altar and forcibly impregnated. Meanwhile, they’d grab the babies from the raped women of the previous year, and sacrifice them. Afterwards, children were urged to dye Ashtoreth/Easter eggs in the spilled blood of the infants. Mystery Babylon is end-times Rome. It is the iron mixing with the clay in the prophetic statue in Daniel 2. It’s called Mystery Babylon, because it started with Nimrod and his wife Semiramis. Semiramis is likely morphed into Ashtoreth. Nimrod founded Babylon, and he and his wife started this religion as an attempt from Satan to counterfeit the virgin birth of the Messiah as prophesied in Genesis 3:15: “and enmity I put between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he doth bruise thee -- the head, and thou dost bruise him -- the heel.'” -Genesis 3:15 A Bit About Nimrod: “And Cush hath begotten Nimrod; he hath begun to be a hero in the land; he hath been a hero in hunting before Jehovah; therefore it is said, `As Nimrod the hero [in] hunting before Jehovah.' And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;” -Genesis 10:8-10 “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.” -1 Chronicles 1:10 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” -Genesis 6:4 KJV Antichrist will become a “hero,” or “mighty one” as well, after Satan heals him from his deadly head wound. The Mark of the Beast will have Mystery Babylon fully behind it. Before I continue, it’s important for me to point out that while Easter is named after Ashtoreth and is a pagan ceremony, and a Mystery Babylon religious act, and not a Christian one, the same goes with her son/husband, Baal. Baal was born around December 25th (because of calendar changes and time slippage, it's hard to get an exact date). Jesus was born on or near September 29th, and YES that’s in the Scriptures. See my article, called “Dates of Christ's Birth, Death, and Resurrection.” Christmas trees were never a Christian practice. It was in celebration of Baal/Nimrod. The evergreen of the tree represented his deified eternal life (false god) and the tree itself, including the round ornaments that hang on it represent his manhood. When he died, he was cut into a bunch of small pieces, and scattered about. When his wife gathered all his parts to put his body back together again, she found everything, except for his genitals. Nimrod/Baal/Tammuz (Tammuz is another name given to this Mystery Religion deity) was killed by a wild boar, so every “Christmas” they’d have their decorated evergreen trees up, and would eat a feast of ham. Note that Nimrod himself may have known nothing about this, as the Bible says that legends about Nimrod began about him because he was mighty. These Mystery Relgion gods likely sprung from legends about Nimrod and his wife, and these stories may therefore not be true, but possibly just legend that became a Mystery Religion. “Thus said Jehovah: Unto the way of the nations accustom not yourselves, And by the signs of the heavens be not affrighted, For the nations are affrighted by them. For the statutes of the peoples are vanity, For a tree from a forest hath one cut, Work of the hands of an artificer, with an axe, With silver and with gold they beautify it, With nails and with hammers they fix it, And it doth not stumble.” -Jeremiah 10:2-4 Thus Christmas is none other than a holiday unto Baal/Tammuz. “By the signs of the heavens be not affrighted” - Ashtoreth means star. Ashtoreth is the mother of Baal, and remember that Rephaim often dwelt in cities named after Ashtoreth. The Bethlehem star happened in September. I show you it in Stellarium in my "Dates of Christ's Birth, Death, and Resurrection" article. The Christmas star, on the other hand, is Saturn. This year (2020), the "Christmas" star reappears as a close conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter. The progenitor to modern Christmas was the pagan Saturnailia. This is mentioned in the Scriptures: “And ye bare Succoth your king, and Chiun your images, The star of your god, that ye made for yourselves.” -Amos 5:26 “and ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan -- the figures that ye made to bow before them, and I will remove your dwelling beyond Babylon.” -Acts 7:43 Chiun and Moloch are both different names for Baal. Just like different groups of the Rephaim had different names in different localities, so also with Ashtoreth and Baal. Going back to Ashtoreth/Easter for a moment, even the days of “Lent” leading up to Easter are pagan: “And He bringeth me in unto the opening of the gate of the house of Jehovah that [is] at the north, and lo, there the women are sitting weeping for Tammuz.” -Ezekiel 8:14 The fasting for Lent is actually from the Mystery Babylon tradition of the days of weeping for Tammuz, leading up to Easter. The fasting and mourning was to mourn Tammuz’s death, but then on Easter he was to “resurrect.” Baal's symbol is the sun. Each spring, the sun shines brighter and warmer, and dead grass and barren trees again turn green, and animals bear their young. Around this time is also when Ashtoreth became pregnant, claiming the child in her womb was her dead husband. Mystery Babylon mixes paganism with Christianity. Jesus is the Truth: “Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me” -John 14:6 Continuing on, let’s now look at the other names for Rephaim groups given in Genesis 14:5-7: “And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings who [are] with him, and they smite the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim, and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-Paran, which [is] by the wilderness; and they turn back and come in unto En-Mishpat, which [is] Kadesh, and smite the whole field of the Amalekite, and also the Amorite who is dwelling in Hazezon-Tamar.” -Genesis 14:5-7 Rephaim by other geographical names: 1) The Zuzimin: From the Hebrew Zuwziym, which means “Roving Creatures.” “And I -- I have destroyed the Amorite from before them, Whose height [is] as the height of cedars, And strong he [is] as the oaks, And I destroy his fruit from above, And his roots from beneath.” -Amos 2:9 And now to our next Living Rephaim Scripture: “In that day hath Jehovah made with Abram a covenant, saying, `To thy seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Phrat, with the Kenite, and the Kenizzite, and the Kadmonite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Rephaim, and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Girgashite, and the Jebusite.'” -Genesis 15:18-21 This is the Abrahamic Covenant, where God is telling Abraham the lands that his people will eventually possess. When the Israelites eventually were taking the Promised Land, they were supposed to drive out, or sometimes kill inhabitants of the lands. The ones that were supposed to be killed, were generally Rephaim, or those carrying Rephaim genes like Noah’s son Ham’s wife did on the ark, bringing Rephaim genetics post flood. “`A land of Rephaim it is reckoned, even it; Rephaim dwelt in it formerly, and the Ammonites call them Zamzummim; a people great, and numerous, and tall, as the Anakim, and Jehovah destroyeth them before them, and they dispossess them, and dwell in their stead, as He hath done for the sons of Esau, who are dwelling in Seir, when He destroyed the Horim from before them, and they dispossess them, and dwell in their stead, unto this day. `As to the Avim who are dwelling in Hazerim unto Azzah, the Caphtorim -- who are coming out from Caphtor -- have destroyed them, and dwell in their stead.” Deuteronomy 2:20-23 We are again reminded of the earlier mentioned trio of the Nephilim, Rephaim, and Anakim. We have some other familiar Rephaim names we’ve already looked at, but in the above we are given some more to study. 1) The Zamzummim: In the Hebrew is Zamzom, meaning “plotters.” Og was certainly a giant. His bed was about 13feet long and 6 feet wide. Further, the above says he only “had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim.” This means in that area he was the last of the Rephaim, but not through the whole world. “and the rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I have given to the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, to all that Bashan, called the land of Rephaim.” Deuteronomy 3:13 The above is mentioning some of the Promised Land inheritance to the Israelites. And here are the rest of the Scriptures in the Bible that mention the Living Rephaim: Joshua 12:4 Joshua 13:12 Joshua 15:8 Joshua 17:15 Joshua 18:16 2 Samuel 5:18 2 Samuel 5:22 2 Samuel 23:13 1 Chronicles 11:15 1 Chronicles 14:9 Isaiah 17:5 And it hath come to pass, As the gathering by the reaper of the standing corn, And his arm the ears reapeth, And it hath come to pass, As the gathering of the ears in the valley of Rephaim The Dead Rephaim “The Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants. Naked [is] Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction.“ -Job 26:5-6 This and the rest of the Scriptures we’ll look at that discuss the Rephaim are in the Hebrew as a masculine plural noun. Recall that this doesn’t mean that all dead Rephaim are male, just as the spirit of man being a feminine noun doesn’t mean men have female spirits in them. If we look at the Hebrew for the form of Rephaim in Job 26:5, we see that it is still the Hebrew word “Rapha,” but this time it isn’t used as a proper gentilic noun referring to the Nephilim race of Giants known as the Rephaim. In Job 26:5, “Rapha” is used as a masculine plural noun, which, along with context, denotes the spirits of dead Rephaim. This form of Rapha in the Hebrew means “spirits of the shades.” The word “shades” brings us to Greek Mythology, in which the masculine plural noun form of the Hebrew Rapha via Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon, states that this form of Rapha is shades living in Hades, according to the ancient Hebrews. They are devoid of blood and are weak, but can still think, and have memories. Job 26:6 mentions Sheol, which is the Hebrew form of the Greek word Hades. In Greek mythology, Shades (Hebrew Rapha - masculine plural noun) are the spirits of dead people, residing in Hades (Hebrew Sheol). In the Scriptures, we see three types of beings currently in Hades - also known as the Outer Darkness or the Pit - one of the torment compartments of hell. There are spirits of humans who denied the free gift of Salvation, there are the fallen angels that mated with the human women who are locked in a special compartment in Hades called Tartarus, and there are the spirits of Rephaim - Shades. Let’s take another look at Job 26:5-6, to bring out one more distinction… “The Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants. Naked [is] Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction.“ -Job 26:5-6 (YLT) The Darby Translation says it this way: “The shades tremble beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof; Sheol is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.” -Job 26:5-6 Darby Darby seems to agree that the Rephaim in this noun form is referring to their dead spirits – the Greek Shades. Notice also that while Young’s says the Rephaim Shades are formed beneath the waters, Darby says the Rephaim Shades tremble beneath the waters. The Hebrew word underlying formed/tremble is chuwl, which means “pain, formed, tremble, dance.” The way chuwl is translated is largely if not completely dependent on context. Darby says it should be translated as “tremble,” and that fits the context, because Rephaim were already "formed." Also note the word "destruction" in both the Darby and YLT. If you do a Hebrew study on this word, we see "destruction" here is Abaddon. Abaddon is mentioned in Revelation 9:11: "and they have over them a king -- the messenger of the abyss -- a name [is] to him in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in the Greek he hath a name, Apollyon." Let us move on to more Scriptures about the Rephaim Shades… “To the dead dost Thou do wonders? Do Rephaim rise? do they thank Thee? Selah.” -Psalm 88:10 YLT Will the spirits of Rephaim be reunited with resurrected bodies? There’s nothing in the Scriptures that say so. The resurrection seems to only be promised to humans, not Rephaim or Nephilim. Just as Rephaim don’t praise or thank the Lord, they also do not have a resurrection. Shades will not rise. A note on my usage of the word “shades:” Scripturally (largely via the Darby translation) Shades refer to the spirits of dead Rephaim only, and never to the spirits of dead humans. There are human spirits in Hades/Sheol right now too, awaiting judgment. When that time comes, the human spirits will be resurrected, and brought to judgment. Shades/Rephaim spirits will not. “To deliver thee from an evil way, From any speaking froward things, Who are forsaking paths of uprightness, To walk in ways of darkness, Who are rejoicing to do evil, They delight in frowardness of the wicked, Whose paths [are] crooked, Yea, they are perverted in their ways. To deliver thee from the strange woman, From the stranger who hath made smooth her sayings, Who is forsaking the guide of her youth, And the covenant of her God hath forgotten. For her house hath inclined unto death, And unto Rephaim her paths. None going in unto her turn back, Nor do they reach the paths of life.” - Proverbs 2:12-19 The evil woman in the above example has let herself morally slip to such a point that her spirit can no longer be saved, nor the spirits of those who allow themselves to be ensnared by her. She is a complete reprobate, such that her final end will be the same as the Rephaim – eternity in hell. The Rephaim spirits will not need a resurrection and judgment to learn why they deserve hell. They already know. The human spirits in hell will get the courtesy of resurrection and judgment, where they will see that their names are not in the Lamb’s Book of Life, so they will be judged via the Book of Works, where their whole life will be reviewed, and their sin will be pointed out as unpaid for. The eternal resonance of sin could have only been atoned for by the blood of God Himself, but they refused the Free Gift. “A foolish woman [is] noisy, Simple, and hath not known what. And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne -- the high places of the city, To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight [on] their paths.`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.' And whoso lacketh heart -- she said to him, `Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.' And he hath not known that Rephaim [are] there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!” -Proverbs 9:13-18 This is referring to the same woman example as we saw in Proverbs 2, but here we see more clearly that the willing victims of this woman will meet the same fate as her. Those who accept her sinful invitations are ultimately accepting her spiritual invitation to the same fate as the departed Rephaim – eternity in hell. “A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.” -Proverbs 21:16 The man who wanders from the way of understanding is a fool: “A fool hath said in his heart, `God is not;' They have done corruptly, They have done abominable actions, There is not a doer of good.” -Psalm 14:1 The fool, or the one who wanders from the way of understanding, has the same ultimate fate as the Rephaim. “Sheol beneath hath been troubled at thee, To meet thy coming in, It is waking up for thee Rephaim, All chiefs ones of earth, It hath raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. All of them answer and say unto thee, Even thou hast become weak like us! Unto us thou hast become like! Brought down to Sheol hath been thine excellency, The noise of thy psaltery, Under thee spread out hath been the worm, Yea, covering thee is the worm.” -Isaiah 14:9-11 There is so much information in the above Isaiah 14:9-11 passage, so we’ll go through it, point by point: 1) “Sheol Beneath,” and “down to Sheol” is reminding us that this is a torment compartment of hell – this is the same as the Greek Hades in the New Testament. Do you know what this means? This is another Mystery Babylon doctrine. This is a big force behind certain satanic sacrifices. The satanic person thinks that by sacrificing people, and providing blood to the Shades (or the terms they use), they will become a friend of the ‘Shade,’ thereby hopefully securing power from the Shade to help them get what they want. The life is in the blood: “or [it is] the life of all flesh, its blood is for its life; and I say to the sons of Israel, Blood of any flesh ye do not eat, for the life of all flesh is its blood; any one eating it is cut off.” -Leviticus 17:14 There is power in blood, and the Satanists and practitioners of Mystery Relgions know this. In fact, some of their sacrifices involve torture of their victim before death, so that they themselves can drink the blood of their victim. The torture was to get adrenaline in the blood, so that the drinker would get a rush from it. This is especially potent if the drinker of the blood is demon possessed. Recall that demons are the fathers of the Shades. Christians should deeply understand the power of blood as well. The blood of murdered Abel cried from the ground. Further, Christians are covered by the blood of the Lamb – Christ Jesus. Christ’s shed blood on Calvary transcends time and even dimensional space, with its resonant atonement echoing through the cosmos. The person who receives the free gift of Christ dying on the cross to pay for their sins – who believes and accepts this – has a resonant shift. Now they resonate with Jesus Christ, therefore the atoning resonance of the spilt blood of Jesus Christ is a cancellation to all the sin - past, present, and future that the person commits. This is the only way to rid sin. Sin cannot be gotten rid of via doing more good things than bad things, for that does not create a cancellation, it just adds good resonance to echo through the cosmos, along with your sin. The wages of sin is death, as Romans 6:23 tells us, because the life in the blood must atone for the sin. However, a sinner’s blood is at the wrong resonance to cancel out sin. Perfect love is required. Only Christ’s blood can do that, so Christ died in our place. This is why it got pitch dark outside, in the middle of the afternoon, before Christ’s death on the cross. That was the moment He took on ALL sins of ALL people, of ALL time. However, you can’t receive that, unless you believe in Christ, and that He died to pay for your sins. Then your resonance lines up with His. Unbelievers don’t accept the free gift; therefore their resonance is not compatible with that of Christ. What is the resonance of Christ? It’s that of God – Love: “Beloved, every spirit believe not, but prove the spirits, if of God they are, because many false prophets have gone forth to the world; in this know ye the Spirit of God; every spirit that doth confess Jesus Christ in the flesh having come, of God it is, and every spirit that doth not confess Jesus Christ in the flesh having come, of God it is not; and this is that of the antichrist, which ye heard that it doth come, and now in the world it is already. Ye -- of God ye are, little children, and ye have overcome them; because greater is He who [is] in you, than he who is in the world. They -- of the world they are; because of this from the world they speak, and the world doth hear them; we -- of God we are; he who is knowing God doth hear us; he who is not of God, doth not hear us; from this we know the spirit of the truth, and the spirit of the error. Beloved, may we love one another, because the love is of God, and every one who is loving, of God he hath been begotten, and doth know God; he who is not loving did not know God, because God is love. In this was manifested the love of God in us, because His Son -- the only begotten -- hath God sent to the world, that we may live through him; in this is the love, not that we loved God, but that He did love us, and did send His Son a propitiation for our sins.” -1 John 4:1-10 If you don’t know the Love of God, then stop right now, decide to accept the free gift of Christ dying on the cross to pay for YOUR sins – past, present, and future. Sin knows no timeline – it echoes through the cosmos, through the dimensions, not knowing it has happened now or then. If you have made the conscious decision to accept Christ’s death on the cross, so that His shed blood pays for your sins, then simply pray to God, and tell Him. Thank Him, and then go on to live the life God has for you. He has plans for you, and He loves you more than you’ll ever be capable of fathoming. Let’s now move on, and see what other Scriptures we still have, regarding the Rephaim… “Dead -- they live not, Rephaim, they rise not, Therefore Thou hast inspected and dost destroy them, Yea, thou destroyest all their memory.” -Isaiah 26:14 Recall that Psalm 88:10 said – ‘do rephaim rise?’ We deduced that answer to be “no,” and now we see for certain the answer is no, as the above in Isaiah 26:14 says – “Rephaim, they rise not.” Not only will the Rephaim not be resurrected at the time of judgment, but the very memory of them will be erased. No one will even remember these “heroes, who, from of old, [are] the men of name.” – From Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim/Rephaim will have no recognition at all in the end. Yes, they built the great walled cities (such as Baalbek) and certain pyramids that scientists and engineers today can’t figure out how to build, but it wasn’t for good. Nothing they did was for any actual good. “Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.” -Numbers 13:28 KJV “only, surely the people which is dwelling in the land [is] strong; and the cities are fenced, very great; and also children of Anak we have seen there.” -Numbers 13:28 YLT “Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.” -Deuteronomy 1:28 KJV “whither are we going up? our brethren have melted our heart, saying, A people greater and taller than we, cities great and fenced to heaven, and also sons of Anakim -- we have seen there.” -Deuteronomy 1:28 YLT And now we move onto the last Scripture in the Bible that refers to the Rephaim: “`Thy dead live -- My dead body they rise. Awake and sing, ye dwellers in the dust, For the dew of herbs [is] thy dew, And the land of Rephaim thou causest to fall.” - Isaiah 26:19 Verse 14 says that memories of the Rephaim will be destroyed, and now we see here in verse 19, so will their land – the pagan temples and the various wonders of the world the Rephaim built will fall, and will be completely demolished. Nothing to stand for their memory will remain. Their walled cities will come to nothing. The land will no longer be the land of the Rephaim in any way. It’ll be the God's Land. Mystery Babylon will also fall: “and the woman was arrayed with purple and scarlet-colour, and gilded with gold, and precious stone, and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and uncleanness of her whoredom, and upon her forehead was a name written: `Secret {Mystery}, Babylon the Great, the Mother of the Whores, and the Abominations of the earth.'” -Revelation 17:4-5 “And another messenger did follow, saying, `Fall, fall, did Babylon, the great city, because of the wine of the wrath of her whoredom she hath given to all nations to drink.'” -Revelation 14:8 Purple and scarlet are the main colors of Mystery Babylon. Mystery Babylon is the richest entity on the earth – thus the gold, precious stones, and pearls. The golden cup in her hand - the transubstantiation eucharistic cup of apostate, false Christianity – of this iron kingdom trying to mix in with the clay (man). The cup being gold, as gold is the kingdom metal of the religion of Mystery Babylon, as it was the metal of the original Babylonian kingdom, when it stood. See Daniel chapter 2. This “Mother of the Whores and Abominations of the earth” has people the world-over thinking they are following Christianity, but they are not. They are following the iron mixed in with the clay – a counterfeit Christianity. There are fooled Christians partaking in Mystery Babylonian rites and rituals in many things, especially in regards to the holidays of Lent, Easter, Halloween, Advent, and Christmas. Heed this warning, before it’s too late: “And I heard another voice out of the heaven, saying, `Come forth out of her, My people, that ye may not partake with her sins, and that ye may not receive of her plagues” -Revelation 18:4 And remember, you can’t do both. You are either for Christ, or against Him. King David, while being a repentant adulterer (possibly rapist) and murderer, was seen by God as having a perfect heart, because David not only repented of his sins, but he also didn't stray from the One, True God, via Ashtoreth and Baal. Solomon, David’s son, however did stray. His heart was not perfect with the Lord: “And it cometh to pass, at the time of the old age of Solomon, his wives have turned aside his heart after other gods, and his heart hath not been perfect with Jehovah his God, like the heart of David his father. And Solomon goeth after Ashtoreth {Pronouced as Easter in English} god[dess] of the Zidonians, and after Milcom {Another name for Baal, who born around December 25th} the abomination of the Ammonites” -1 Kings 11:4-5 Solomon’s heart was not perfect with the Lord because he turned aside his heart after false gods. The Scriptures tell us that behind Mystery Babylon practices are demons. “what then do I say? that an idol is anything? or that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything? --[no,] but that the things that the nations sacrifice -- they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not wish you to come into the fellowship of the demons.” -1 Corinthians 10:19-20 The idol or pagan rite isn’t anything, nor the sacrifice/doing traditions of man. These aren’t the big deal. The big deal is that these traditions/sacrifices and idols “sacrifice to demons and not to God.” They are exactly what the demons behind Ashtoreth and Baal want you to do, regardless if you “believe in them” or not. Therefore it's not those actions themselves that's evil, it's that in doing those things, it is empowering real demons. Sacrifice does not always involve the physical (noun). Sacrifice is also what you do (verb): "I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice -- living, sanctified, acceptable to God -- your intelligent service; and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what [is] the will of God -- the good, and acceptable, and perfect." -Romans 12:1-2 The choice is yours.
2) While they had spirits, I’m not so sure they had souls. I believe they were all likely naturally born psychopaths. (I am NOT insinuating that psychopathic humans don't have souls!)
2) Some of the Nephilim appeared to eat human flesh.
3) These Nephilim were of great stature - giants.
4) The Anakim/Sons of Anak are a family line of Nephilim.
2) The Emim are reckoned as something called “Rephaim,” and the Anakim are also called Rephaim.
3) Emim is a Moabite term for the giants that dwelt in that area.
4) A line of giants called the Horim used to dwell in Seir, before the Edomites (Esau) drove them out.
“but, there cometh an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also doth seek such to worship him; God [is] a Spirit, and those worshipping Him, in spirit and truth it doth behove to worship.'” -John 4:23-24
2) The Emim: From the Hebrew 'Eymiym, which means “terrors.”
3) The Horites (which are the Horim we looked at earlier): From the Hebrew Choriy, which means “cave dwellers.”
4) The Amalekite: From the Hebrew `Amaleqiy – “dwellers in a valley.
5) The Amorite: From the Hebrew 'Emoriy, which means “a sayer.” Some of the Amorites described in the Bible were also Rephaim. We know this, because a) they’re mentioned in the list of Rephaim in the above Genesis 14:5-7, and b) because of Amos 2:9:
2) The Avim: In the Hebrew is `Avviym, meaning “ruins.”
“all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, for only Og king of Bashan had been left of the remnant of the Rephaim; lo, his bedstead [is] a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits its length, and four cubits its breadth, by the cubit of a man.“ -Deuteronomy 3:10-11
And the border of Og king of Bashan (of the remnant of the Rephaim), who is dwelling in Ashtaroth and in Edrei,
all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses doth smite them, and dispossess them;
and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;
And Joshua saith unto them, `If thou [art] a numerous people, go up for thee to the forest, then thou hast prepared for thee there, in the land of the Perizzite, and of the Rephaim, when mount Ephraim hath been narrow for thee.'
and the border hath come down unto the extremity of the hill which [is] on the front of the valley of the son of Hinnom, which [is] in the valley of the Rephaim northward, and hath gone down the valley of Hinnom unto the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down [to] En-Rogel,
and the Philistines have come, and are spread out in the valley of Rephaim.
And the Philistines add again to come up, and are spread out in the valley of Rephaim,
And three of the thirty heads go down and come unto the harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the company of the Philistines are encamping in the valley of Rephaim,
And three of the thirty heads go down on the rock unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines is encamping in the valley of Rephaim,
And the Philistines have come, and rush into the valley of Rephaim,
2) This portion of Scripture is written to the King of Babylon (verse 4). Remember what we studied earlier about Babylon. The Rephaim are tied to Mystery Babylon. Therefore the above passage is especially interesting, because if you read further in the chapter, you’ll see it transitions from talking about the King of Babylon going to Sheol, to the devil eventually winding up in Sheol as well.
3) The above talks about “All chiefs ones of earth,” and “All kings of nations.” Which Rephaim were chief ones when alive, or kings? Plenty, such as King Og, and remember all those Rephaim subgroups we saw, such as the Emims, Horims, Anakims, etc. Each group had their leader, and many leaders of nations were Rephaim. Remember, people who used neck rings to elongate their necks were likely trying to imitate the Anakim, which were a race of Rephaim giants that had long necks. There were also people who used to do cradle boarding to elongate heads. This originally was in imitation to specific Rephaim kings, in which their Rephaim lineage had the hallmark of large, elongated skulls.
4) “Thou has become weak like us.” This calls us back to the Greek mythology of Shades. Recall that the Shades were spirits without blood or life, yet had memories and thinking capacities, but were weak. If we delve further into these weak Shades of Greek mythology, we learn of the practice of the living friends of the Shades sacrificing people, so that the Shades could drink the blood of the sacrifice, and it was said that the blood would temporarily give strength to the Shades.
What they built were marvels, and the Bible mentions these walled cities the Rephaim built:
